8over8 signs deal with the Oxy operated Mukhaizna project in Oman to license and implement its ProCon contract management system.

As operator, Occidental Mukhaizna LLC will utilise thermal techniques to develop about 1 billion barrels of Mukhaizna crude and achieve a production of 150,000 barrels per day by 2011, according to a statement by the Ministry of Oil and Gas. Through this new pact, Occidental Mukhaizna will have 45 per cent shares of the joint venture, 20 per cent by Oman Oil Company, 17 per cent by Shell Oman Trading Company Limited, 15 per cent by Liwa Energy, two per cent by Total Oman and one per cent by Partex (Oman) Corporation.

Clare Colhoun, CEO of 8over8, visited the huge Karachaganak field and met with
senior KPO executives.  At first hand Clare saw how 8over8’s ProCon system was
helping KPO manage the contractual committments of the plant in operation. 
Her visit also afforded her the opportunity to meet with KazMunaiGas representaives.

Continuing on the success of ProCon in KPO, the third phase of the massive condensate field, which sees huge investment in drilling, gas handling facilities and gas re-injection trains, has finalised the implementation of ProCon. The system will be used in the FEED and future stages of the project.

8over8 today added to its multi lingual capabilities of ProCon. ProCon is now available in Russian which is an important milestone in 8over8’s plans to deliver solutions to oil & gas operators and contractors in Russian speaking markets. A central challenge in managing contracts is managing the relationships between the parties to the contract and this is enhanced when contracting parties can use their native language. Russian speaking contractors seeking to do business with oil and gas operators that use ProCon can now register and get complete RFI and Pre Qualification templates in their native language.

The scheduled release of ProCon 5.2 will include a new module launching a broad range of new ProCon functionality designed to allow authorised ProCon users to design and deploy on-line interactive questionnaires for the purposes of managing, recording and auditing the supplier registration and pre-qualification process as well as the on-going management of contractor information and performance audits.

8over8’s Middle East Regional Manager Mr. Keith Langford leads an 8over8 trade delegation to Kuwait City. 8over8 is seeking to expand its presence in the Middle East and hopes to further develop partnership opportunities previously identified.

8over8 secured an order for ProCon from Petrofac in Moscow. Petrofac is managing the Kovykta Regional Gas Project on behalf of Rusia Petroleum and East Siberian Gas Company (ESGCo) both of which are part owned by TNK-BP. The Project consists of 645 km of pipeline that will extend from the new central processing facilities at Kovykta to the region’s capital, Irkutsk, with first gas scheduled to be delivered to consumers before the end of 2006. The total project investment being managed by Petrofac amounts to approximately US$ 1.2 billion.

The Olokolo LNG joint venture, which has been using ProCon for the past year in Pre-FEED, took the decision to widen the roll out of ProCon across the project in FEED. ProCon has been used for tender management and contract post award control. Future tenders and contracts will be managed through ProCon.

OKLNG, a Chevron operated joint venture, is a 4-train, 22 mtpa plant which will produce 33 million tonnes of LNG per annum. The project will consist of three phases, with the first phase (two trains) producing 11 million tonnes per annum by 2008. The other two trains will follow shortly thereafter

Nexen Inc, Calgary Canada went live this month with 8over8’s ProCon contract management system. Nexen initiated using ProCon to manage its contracts when Nexen’s Buzzard project- the largest find in the North Sea in fifteen years- successfully engaged with ProCon. Nexen plans to use ProCon to manage its contracts across the globe.
